The IEM Sales and Services Group of Companies is seeking a Technical Sales & Service Specialist to manage and grow our customer base across the English-speaking Caribbean. The Role
As a Technical Sales & Service Specialist, you will be responsible for all business development and customer support activities for new and existing customers within the petroleum, cement, and industrial sectors.
This is a field-focused role, with approximately 2.5–3 days per week spent visiting customers for meetings, site visits (onshore and offshore), technical presentations, and training sessions, and managing proposals, quotations, and follow-ups during office-based days.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive sales, marketing, and business development activities
• Conduct customer meetings, site visits, technical trainings, and presentations
• Prepare, review, and submit proposals, quotations, tenders, and trials
• Develop and present an annual Strategic Business Plan to senior leadership
• Act as the technical interface between customers, suppliers, and manufacturers
• Build and grow the installed base of represented instruments and solutions
• Maintain strong customer relationships through consistent follow-up and delivery
• Submit weekly activity and opportunity reports to management
• Support internal training and continuous technical development
• Represent the company with professionalism, reliability, and integrity
What We’re Looking For
• Degree or diploma in Engineering or a related discipline (Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, Automation, or similar)
• Minimum five (5) CSEC passes, including Mathematics, English, and Science
• Proven experience in technical or field sales within industrial, energy, or process industries
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and closing skills
• Ability to translate technical solutions into customer value
• High level of organization, self-motivation, and accountability
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Trinidad and Tobago national, age 25+, with a valid driver’s license
• Willingness to travel regionally for customer visits and specialized training
